Legal Policies

Policy version: 2026-11-v1 · Effective date: 3 November 2026 · Last updated: 3 November 2026

1. Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to purchases processed through KARLEESH POS by KARLEESH TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED (“Company”, “we”, “us”). The merchant/seller identified on the invoice is responsible for supplying the listed product or service unless the invoice states otherwise.

Customer review and voluntary purchase

Before confirming payment, the customer should review the product/service description, quantity, price, applicable taxes, delivery or performance details, and the total payable amount. By proceeding to payment and confirming the consent checkbox, the customer confirms that the purchase is voluntary and made with their informed agreement to the displayed order details.

Customers must provide accurate billing details. A successful payment is subject to confirmation by the relevant payment provider. An order is not treated as paid merely because a checkout window was opened or a payment attempt was initiated.

Invoices and records

A transaction invoice/receipt is generated for a completed purchase using the billing information supplied. Customers should check the invoice and promptly report any factual billing error. Tax treatment and invoice particulars are subject to applicable law and the merchant's registration and transaction facts.

Acceptable use and liability

Customers must not misuse the POS, submit false payment claims, or attempt unauthorized access. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right, remedy, guarantee, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Indian law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to mandatory consumer jurisdiction and other applicable law, competent courts in Pune, Maharashtra may have jurisdiction over disputes involving the Company.

2. Privacy Policy

We process information needed to operate POS checkout, confirm payments, create invoices, prevent fraud, provide support, and maintain accounting and audit records.

Information collected

Use and sharing

Information may be shared with the selected payment provider (Razorpay, Stripe or PayPal), hosting/database providers, professional advisers, and competent authorities where required for payment processing, support, security, legal compliance or dispute resolution. Payment providers process payment credentials under their own terms and privacy notices.

Security and retention

We use access controls, server-side credentials, encrypted transport where deployed over HTTPS, and audit logging. No system can be guaranteed absolutely secure. Records are retained for operational, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention and legal purposes for the period required by applicable law and legitimate business needs.

Your choices and requests

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal information by contacting hello@karleesh.com. Certain transaction and tax records may need to be retained even after a deletion request. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

3. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Voluntary purchase / change-of-mind rule: Once a customer has reviewed the product or service details, price and applicable taxes, voluntarily confirmed the purchase, completed payment and received a complete invoice, a refund is not ordinarily available solely because the customer changes their mind, no longer wants the item, or prefers a different product.

This rule does not remove rights or remedies available under applicable consumer-protection, e-commerce, product-safety, contract, payment-system or other mandatory laws. A “no change-of-mind refund” condition is not a blanket waiver of statutory rights.

Cases reviewed for refund or correction

How to request help

Contact hello@karleesh.com with the invoice/receipt number, transaction date, amount, payment reference and a concise description of the issue. Do not email full card numbers, CVV, passwords or OTPs. We may request reasonable supporting documents. Each request is reviewed on its facts and under applicable law and payment-provider rules.

Processing

Where a refund is approved, it is submitted through the original payment provider wherever supported. The provider/bank controls final settlement time. A refund request is not complete merely because it has been submitted; its status must be checked with the provider. Partial refunds may be issued where appropriate. Shipping, service cancellation and return logistics are governed by the merchant's disclosed product-specific terms and applicable law.

4. Payment & Billing Policy

Payments are accepted through the gateway options enabled for the merchant account: Razorpay, Stripe and PayPal. Actual availability depends on merchant onboarding, gateway approval, supported currencies, payment method and jurisdiction. A provider's successful capture/confirmation or verified webhook is required before the POS records a payment as paid.

Invoices should display the merchant identity and applicable tax particulars. The POS does not itself guarantee GST compliance, e-invoicing eligibility, e-way bill compliance, or the tax treatment of every transaction. The merchant must validate invoice and tax settings with its tax adviser.

Currency conversion, where enabled, uses the rate and timestamp recorded for the transaction. The actual amount settled by a payment provider or bank may differ due to provider fees, conversion spreads, reserves or settlement rules.
